Young Technology Co., Ltd.
SUMICOM
King Young Technology started its business in March of 2002
to develop the new generation of PC. The PC is space saving,
low power consumption, and noiseless, yet it retains all the
flexibility to upgrade in the future. With that concept in
mind, the SUMICOM S300 (SUper MIni COMputer) series were born,
which is the smallest Personal Computer in the world, comes
in a compact, space-age aluminum casing just the size of a
standard CD-ROM. Yet it is pack with full computing power
anyone would need for today's computing requirement, and the
flexibility of upgrade.
Relatively a new company, the co-founder and General Manager,
Mr. Robert Cheng is the designer of the new CD-ROM size Personal
Computer. He is determined that it will be the future trend
of PC. The traditional PCs come in a bulky tower or mini-tower
case, which is heavy, noisy, and power craving. Thus it is
not environmental friendly at all, and the cost of ownership
in term of power consumption, relocation, and acoustic impairment
is very high to the owner. The SUMICOM PC series is environmentally
safe and economically to own. Now users have a better alternative
to choose for, the SUMICOM (Super Mini Computer) PC, when
traveling, at home, or in office.
There are many challenges for the first design of SUMICOM.
One of the main challenges was the heat dissipation of the
system. However, SUMICOM PC runs safely below 40 degrees Celsius.
Other challenges that have to face were how to pack a regular
PC into smaller size but still maintain the same powerful
functions like the normal PC. All SUMICOM series have low
acoustic ratio and low power consumption, which will contribute
to a more clean and safe environment for the future generation.
